I've had many ask me what LOAD means when I'm twittering and/or updating my status. LOAD is short for Layout a Day. A challenge set forth by Lain Ehmann to scrapook one layout each day in the month of October.
For those who accept the challenge (and pay a $10 entry fee) there are no excuses such as, "My internet is down," "I forgot to post," or "My dog ate my layout" excuses to gain an extra day. Once you miss a day, you're out. Harsh, but then so is Navy Seal training (thank goodness I didn't sign up for that!).
Why am I doing it? Well... #1 I'm always up for a challenge; #2 I like to win and #3 there's a BIG prize promised at the end (randomly chosen from those who do complete 31 layouts in 31 days)!
We're 19 days in and I'm still going strong. I've scrapbooked all types of family photos that have been waiting for a scrapbook "home" and I've enjoyed using some of my favorite paper lines.
To follow my progress, I've created a LOAD October 2009 Album that you can browse through. For those in my immediate family, just know that if you don't see a layout about you just yet, never fear, I have 12 layouts left to go... There's still time.
Enjoy.
